Below are 18 free PI Cognitive Assessment practice questions, two for each of the 9 question types on the real test, each with the correct answer and a worked explanation. They come from the same question engine that powers our timed practice tests, so the format, the difficulty range and the answer traps match what you will meet on test day.

How to use these sample questions
- Set a timer. Aim for about 15 seconds per question, then check how many you got right against the answer key at the bottom.
- Read every explanation, including the ones you got right. The PI test reuses a small set of reasoning patterns, and the explanations teach you to spot them quickly.
- Do not memorise questions. The real test draws from a large pool, so pattern recognition is what transfers, not the specific numbers or words.
Numerical reasoning: number series, word problems and value comparison
Roughly a third of the test. Number series ask what comes next, word problems are short arithmetic scenarios, and value comparison asks which of four fractions or decimals has the lowest value. Calculators are not allowed on the real test.

Analogies test whether you can name the relationship between two words and apply it to a third. Antonyms ask for the word most nearly opposite in meaning. Logical conclusions give two assumptions and a conclusion, and you decide whether the conclusion is correct, incorrect or cannot be determined from the information given.
